    This course offers students the opportunity to learn and practice leadership skills. Students will learn the value of contribution through the volunteer component of the course, which allows students to work with a variety of age groups on projects, activities and events throughout the community. Students will be able to improve their confidence through learning various organizational tactics, effective communication skills, and the adoption of leadership traits that will contribute to their personal growth and successes. Students will also learn the strategies that are necessary to make an effective plan to achieve their goals. Students may have the opportunity to attend district workshops, retreat and/or conference.
